Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle positional therapy that releases muscle strain without damaging scarred or radiated tissue. Positions of comfort, gentle movements, compressions, and subtle techniques are used to stimulate relaxation of tension and strain.
The quiet release of muscle contractions and energetic tension creates an opportunity for increased flow of fluids with little or no damage to the delicate web or lymphatic vessels which run through the skin and connective tissue layers. Along with the standard method of CDT we incorporate Ortho-Bionomy® which is a gentle osteopathically based method of tissue and muscle release. This allows us to release muscle and tissue contractions and release congestion with little or no damage to the Lymphatics or other delicate structures. Individually developed exercise programs are then incorporated along with self care management techniques.
