"I am a physical therapist currently going to people's homes to provide therapy. I've used the Ortho-Bionomy edema drainage techniques taught by Liz Olivas mostly on post surgical patients - knee replacements, hip replacements and now I have a shoulder replacement patient. They LOVE me because I get the swelling and pain down quickly. At first they are nervous about the therapy because they've heard how painful therapy is, but either before or after their exercises (depending on how things are when I get there) I use the O-B drainage techniques and it calms everything down and they get great relief. I had a hip replacement patient whose entire leg was swollen even with the thigh high compression stocking on. He had digestive issues in the hospital and I could feel that his abdomen was very hard so I started there as the fluid has to drain to the lower abdomen - then I worked my way down the leg. His swelling was significantly better that night and pretty much gone by the next day when I got there. We were all amazed!"
